At the Marca event, the most important Italian fair dedicated to the private label, Pedon, which in its portfolio boasts more than 100 lines created for the main retailers in Italy and abroad, presents itself with two important innovations: one for the Mexican market and one for the Italian market.

One is the mix of ancient cereals and rice, ‘Arroces & Granos Ancestrales’, produced for Costco Mexico, which announces the debut for Pedon in a country that is revealing itself to be very interesting in terms of potential and future volume and consumption. Distributed in 33 sales outlets, presented in 1.1kg packets, the range is made up of white and red rice, bulgur wheat, barley, oats and wheat grain, all precooked and ready to eat within ten minutes.

In Italy, on the other hand, Pedon has created a new line of well-being products for the discount store Eurospin ‘Mi Voglio Bene’ (‘I love myself’), which are based on ancient seeds and cereals, ready within 10 minutes, free from gmo and artificial ingredients, suitable for anybody following a vegetarian diet and certified as vegan as well. The range comprises organic kamut, white quinoa, whole grain couscous, chia seed, linseed and sunflower seeds, a mix of other seeds and bulgur wheat with soya, all packaged in a small bag, wrapped in a protective packaging. Furthermore, on the reverse of the packaging there is a QR code from which customers can download recipes and tips in order to prepare breakfast dishes, salads, starters and many more.
