Supermarkets in The Netherlands are creating stricter controls for their private label suppliers. Agreements to this end were made with the Central Food Retail Agency. It means that suppliers will more often have inspectors on the work floor. They will check, for example, whether packages labels are correct. In addition inspectors will determine if a supplier’s finances are in good order.
